What it is for
When your company uses On duty tracking, the app sends your location to dispatch while you work — with or without a route, also with the screen off. It is used to follow deliveries, notice if something happened to you (for example a sudden stop with no movement) and measure vehicle use. Off duty, nothing is sent.
Where it is
- Settings → General → Location & duty: the Location for dispatch switch.
- On the map: Map tools → On-duty location.
- The duty card shows On duty since HH:MM (started by the 日報, by the route or by you), the mode (On route, Stopped or Free) and today's km.
First time: the tracking notice
- The first time, the app shows Location while on duty, explaining what is sent (only position, speed and direction) and when.
- Tap I understand and accept to use it, or Not now (turn location off).
- If the phone asks for location permission, allow it as your company instructs. On Android a fixed notification is shown while location is on.
Step by step: go on and off duty
- You go on duty automatically when you start the daily report or the route. To start manually, tap Go on duty — or turn on Location for dispatch: off duty, turning it on puts you on duty.
- At the end of the day, tap Go off duty and confirm. Location stops going to dispatch until you go on duty again.
- To turn off only the location, switch off Location for dispatch. Dispatch sees that it was turned off and when.
Route tracking
Map tools has Start route tracking / Stop route tracking. It shares your position during the route to follow deliveries and calculate the real distance, also with the app in the background. It only works when there is a route that day.
Common mistakes
- “The device location is off”: tap Fix and turn on the phone's location.
- “KŌLOGY has no location permission”: tap Fix and allow it in the phone settings.
- “There is no route for today. GPS is only sent during a route”: ask dispatch for a route or register a delivery to create yours.
- “On-duty location applies to company drivers”: your account does not use this tracking.
