What it is for

KMR shows different screens for each role. Knowing yours helps you find the right features and understand why a menu shows for one person and not for another.

The four roles

  • Role · How to sign in · What they do
  • Staff (field) · “Staff (field)” profile, account created by the company · Shifts, clock-in and daily report, sign-ups, messages, payment statements, training, profile and documents
  • Manager · “Manager” profile, same account as the web panel · Home of the day, dashboard, live map, shifts, messages, daily reports, statements, alerts, setup
  • Company administrator · Manager with administrator permission · Everything a manager does + admin accounts, worker accounts and company plan
  • Free account (person) · “Create a free account” on the sign-in screen · Records their own days, clock-ins and expected earnings; can accept company invitations

What changes between roles

  • Staff: the tabs are Home, Shifts, Work, Messages and My page. “Submit availability” only shows for people whose company asks for shift preferences.
  • Manager: the tabs are Home, Dashboard, Shifts, Messages and Menu. Each Menu item only shows if your permission allows it (view-only users do not see edit buttons).
  • Administrator: the Menu has an Accounts section with Admin accounts, Worker accounts and Company plan.
  • Free account: there is no Manual & training, Payment statements or “Ask the administrator”, because there is no company. Instead you see My work and Company invitations.

Step by step: find your role

  1. Open Settings (My page → Settings, or Menu → Settings for managers).
  2. On the General tab, look at the card with your name, company and code.
  3. Managers also see their Role and whether it is “View and edit” or “View only”.

One person, more than one role

  • A manager who also works in the field uses Menu → Worker mode (when there is a worker record with the same e-mail) and returns with the Back to management bar.
  • A free-account user invited by a company taps Work for it and returns with the Back to personal bar.
