Offline maps by prefecture

The program's map is 100% local: streets, neighbourhoods and cities are on your computer and show without internet. Aichi prefecture comes with the installer. If you deliver to other regions, download only the prefectures you need.

Where it is

Settings → Map tab → Offline map regions. In KOLOGY Software Lite, downloading other prefectures is part of the Additional offline maps extension; in Pro it is included.

Step by step: download a prefecture

1. Open the Map tab. Aichi shows as Included.
2. In Search prefecture, type the name or code, or filter by Region.
3. Click Download on the prefecture. “Downloading map in the background...” appears.
4. You can switch screens: the download keeps going. Only one package downloads at a time.
5. When it finishes, the program checks integrity and shows “Map ready to use”. The status changes to Installed.
6. Go back to the map or reload it to see the new region.

All Japan

The All Japan option downloads every prefecture in one large package. Use it if you work in many regions and have disk space. The footer shows space used and how many regions are installed.

Remove

Click Remove and confirm “Remove the offline map for X from this computer?”. Aichi (included) does not need removing.

Common mistakes

• “Another map is already downloading. Please wait for it to finish.”
• “The map download could not be completed.” Check the connection and disk space and click Download again: it resumes where it stopped.
• A new area cannot be created (“Regional package is not installed yet”): download that prefecture.
