KoCAD · Troubleshooting

What to do when… (common problems)

I can't sign in, the extrusion fails, the sketch turned red, 3D is slow, the AI is queued, the video won't export, the program closed.

Updated Current version KoCAD 0.31.0PC (Windows etc.)

I can't sign in

  • Check e-mail/ID and password on the KOREOS web. Without the KoCAD permission, ask your manager.
  • Browser sign-in: finish it in the browser tab; KoCAD continues by itself. "Forgot password" opens KOREOS recovery.

The extrusion makes no solid

  • The outline is not closed: find the loose point, drag it until it snaps or redraw with Rectangle/Circle.
  • Two outlines cross: delete the extra line.

The sketch turned red

  • Over defined: one dimension or relation too many. Delete the red one (the status bar says "Over defined").

3D is slow

  • View → Large assembly mode (or Auto in Options → Display & performance).
  • Options → Graphics (GPU): choose the dedicated card and restart. Without a card KoCAD uses the integrated one or software.
  • Click CPU/Memory in the status bar for the 60 s chart.

AI: "Waiting for the GPU" / queue / limit

  • The reader is busy: the request waits and retries by itself (up to ~6 min). Cancel is safe; text and images stay.
  • Account without KOREOS core: connect your AI in Options → Connect AI.

The video won't export

  • Linux: install GStreamer with H.264. Choose a new name (an existing file is kept).

KoCAD closed

  • Open it again: it offers the last autosave. Crashes leave a technical diagnostic (without the model) sent at the next start.
  • Use Help → Report a problem with a screenshot and what you were doing.

GLB/OBJ/STL without verification

  • It is a display mesh: no interference check. Open the STEP to verify.
