The tablet cannot connect to the server
Likely cause: the server PC is off, asleep or K-Units is closed; or the server was created with “This PC only”; or the firewall was not allowed.
What to do: turn the PC on and open K-Units; check that tablet and PC are on the same network; in Settings → Local server, use the local network address; allow K-Units on “Private networks” in Windows Firewall. Then use “Reconnect” in Settings → Data location.
The connection is refused after the server was recreated
Likely cause: the server’s fingerprint changed and the connection is blocked for safety.
What to do: use “Disconnect” and pair again with the new QR.
Labels print out of place, or K-Units does not print
Likely cause: scale other than 100 %, a different paper or orientation in the print window, or a margin too small for the printer.
What to do: use “Actual size” (100 %) and the same paper as the label sheet; increase “Sheet margin”; print the “Calibration sheet” on plain paper to check.
The printer does not appear
Likely cause: a missing driver (Windows) or print service (Android).
What to do: on Windows, install the maker’s driver in Printers & scanners. On the tablet, put printer and tablet on the same network and use the default print service or the maker’s plug-in. Without a compatible driver or service, print from the PC.
A scanned code finds nothing
Likely cause: the item or location is outside your scope, or the code is not a K-Units code.
What to do: ask an administrator to check your scope in Settings → Users. Only K-Units codes (item, SKU, location) are recognised.
I cannot apply the stock count
Likely cause: a counted quantity is below what is reserved, or something moved after the count started.
What to do: release the reservations before applying; for movements, use “Carry over” or request a recount.
